DESCRIPTION:    SHIFTS AND WEEKEND SHIFTS ARE REQUIRED.
responsibilities include:
Answer the 24-hour crisis line and evaluate clients for shelter intake.
Respond to crisis events and client needs during shift hours. Provide individual life skills training. Assist shelter clients in working through problems they may encounter while residing at the shelter. Assist in the distribution of client responsibilities and chores. Document all client activity and bed-nights. Complete client information forms, confidentiality agreement, information sharing agreements and medical and legal releases upon intake. Complete a safety plan, danger and lethality and client needs assessment with each client entering the shelter. Complete departure interviews with clients exiting the shelter. Refer to outreach services as needed. Communicate all pertinent information regarding clients to Shelter Manager on a daily basis and to other shelter staff on weekends.

DESCRIPTION:     Youth Prevention Coordinator is overseen and directed by Seekhavens Director of Prevention & Education and will be responsible for coordinating, managing and facilitating future, youth partner violence prevention related events.  The Youth Prevention Coordinator may be expected to source and develop curricula to provide and market to the community and youth and/or their parents.   This position will be expected to coordinate & collaborate with the Victims Advocates/Seekhaven Staff and other local service providers to reach potential clients to attend future groups. This position will also provide consistent support to attendees and will maintain those relationships. Additionally, the Youth Prevention Coordinator will assist in outreach efforts to further community understanding of Seekhaven's group services.
30-40 hour a week position
starting at $19 an hour

DESCRIPTION:    Transition Specialist/Victim Advocate works to foster a safe, comfortable, and healing outreach based support system for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, etc. The Transition  Specialist/Victim Advocate will focus predominantly on supporting clients in creating and maintaining  long-term stability and security, beyond the immediate crisis. This position is a point person for both housing assistance and financial coaching. The Transition Specialist is a vital element in providing the high-quality wrap-around services Seekhaven is known for. Wrap around services will include mobile advocacy and community engagement. The Transition Specialist will abide by a strict code of conduct and maintain  confidentiality at all times. This position will also develop and maintain community  relationships by providing service-based educational presentations on a quarterly basis.

Additionally, the Mobile Victim Advocates will work closely with clients throughout southeast Utah to create and manage safety plans; provide service referrals and case management services, as well as ongoing support and advocacy (legal, medical, emotional, etc.). The Mobile Victim Advocates will abide by a strict code of conduct and maintain confidentiality at all times. The Mobile Victim Advocates will also develop and maintain community relationships by providing service-based educational presentations to a variety community organizations in both Grand and San Juan Counties.

40 HOUR POSITION MON-FRI
Starting at $19 an hour

-Benefits package includes health, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, and life.​
-Candidates who have been a client of Seekhaven in the past 2 years may not be eligible for employment. 
-MUST PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK


Open to being a contracted Counselor? Licensed Contract Mental Health Counselor (1099)
$75/session
Utah Counseling License; Required
Experience with the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault; preferred
Experience with the dynamics of substance abuse; preferred 
Experience with children's therapy; preferred
